The Impact of Coronavirus in Portuguese Consumption Habits
The latest SIBS Analytics data on the changes in the Portuguese consumption habits reveals that E-commerce continues to be the indicator with the largest consumption boost in February, during the second confinement in Portugal.
From January 15th to February 28th, there was a 46% increase in online purchases compared to the same period last year. E-commerce already represents 18% of total electronic purchases, practically double compared to the pre-pandemic period.
Meanwhile, MB WAY continues to be one of the most used payment methods growing 3.8x in online purchases if compared to the same period of 2020.
